Absolute fastest way to tame while retaining taming effectiveness is to find a tropeo, find somewhere nearby to place ballista on a single foundation, load it up with 10-12 chain bolas, take a wyvern to BITE the tropeo and get it aggro'd to the wyv, fly back to ballista and chain down the pursuing tropeo, continue hitting the tropeo with the remaining bolas (they stack the timer), then feed ....
