The amount of maximum life gained is based on the player's permanent health power-ups in vanilla, meaning the max life gained from equipping this accessory is 50. Defeating a boss will not grant the stat boosts for bosses earlier in progression. For example, beating the Eye of Cthulhu before King Slime will not grant King Slime's bonuses.
