Traditionally, Dex/Faith would do maybe 5-10% less damage on a normal melee swing while also having fewer points for survivability, but the damage gap disappears and favors you slightly if you buff a "sharp" weapon with the equivalent of lightning weapon. In Elden Ring?

IMO pure dex is substantially weaker than casting, hybrid casting, arc, or strength builds in Elden Ring. It's still completely, 100% viable and there are plenty of ways to break the game on a dex build. It's just not as good as others. Late to the thread but for posterity: the Frenzied flame seal has really bad scaling split between like four stats. Dragon communion seal is the way to go, even though you're planning to do a pve build. Alternatively, finger/erdtree seal if you want to also include incantations that scale specifically with faith like healing and such. Most "Dex Weapons" can be turned to Heavy infusion and will have practically the same attack raiting on a str build as they would on a dex build.
